About this watch

The Serica Ref. 6190 Field Chronometer is the 2025 update of the brand’s field watch, sold in Commando, Denali, California, M.S.L. and TXD (tuxedo) dial versions. Its 316L stainless steel case is 38 mm in diameter and 10.4 mm thick including the double-domed sapphire crystal, with a 46.5 mm lug-to-lug and 20 mm between the lugs, and it is water resistant to 200 m (20 ATM). The enamel dials use Super-LumiNova C3, and the movement is the Swiss Soprod M100 automatic (28,800 vph, 25 jewels, 42-hour power reserve), COSC-certified. It comes on a 316L steel Bonklip bracelet, and Serica lists it from 1,090 EUR (1,190 EUR for the TXD and M.S.L. versions).

Worn & Wound and Fratello described the 6190 as a thinner, reshaped successor to the 4512 with twisted lugs, new finishing and a COSC-certified automatic movement, and the trade press framed the update as full of subtle upgrades to the watch that put the brand on the map. I did not find a long-term independent review. One Vivir article gives different specifications from the manufacturer and the other outlets, so I disregarded it.

The 6190 is currently in production and sold on Serica’s official store, with most dial versions in stock and a few (such as the Commando) sold out at the time of checking.
