About this watch

The Serica 5303 PLD is a special edition of the 5303 dive chronometer developed with the Amicale des Plongeurs Démineurs, the association of French Navy bomb-disposal divers. The 316L stainless steel case is 39 mm wide, 12.2 mm thick with the double-domed sapphire crystal, 46.5 mm lug-to-lug with 20 mm lugs, water resistant to 300 m and antimagnetic to 50,000 A/m. Its blue ceramic bezel insert carries a “DT MAX” scale that shows maximum working time at depth, the black enamel dial has white lacquered hands and a larger lume seconds hand, and the movement is the COSC-certified Soprod M100 automatic (28,800 vph, 25 jewels, 42 hours). It comes on a woven steel bracelet and a blue elastic PLD strap, and Serica lists it at 1,690 EUR.

Coverage from Monochrome, Worn & Wound, Gear Patrol and WatchGecko was consistently favorable, with the DT MAX bezel singled out as the meaningful change from the standard 5303. Most of it is launch-style coverage rather than long-term testing. One retailer described it as a limited edition of 350 pieces for civilians.

On Serica’s official store every variant of the 5303 PLD currently shows as unavailable, and the listing is tagged as a special watch on pre-order, so it should be considered a limited edition that is not currently available.
