Thibault Jungbluth is a French entrepreneur and the co-founder of MU:N, an independent watch brand established in 2021. Alongside his cousin Victor Schouder, Jungbluth launched the venture with a mission to modernize the traditional moon phase complication through a collaborative, community-driven design process. Based in France with manufacturing operations in Switzerland, the brand has gained significant recognition in the microbrand community for its transparent approach to production and pricing.

Under Jungbluth’s leadership, MU:N has pioneered an interactive model of watchmaking where enthusiasts participate in the creation process. Using online tools like the Watch Configurator, Jungbluth has enabled thousands of participants to vote on design elements, colors, and technical specifications for the brand’s collections. This methodology was first successfully implemented with the Origine series (later renamed Artemis) and further refined with the Orion project, which launched on Kickstarter in 2024 featuring advanced laser-engraved luminescent moon discs.

Beyond design, Jungbluth has committed the brand to high levels of commercial transparency, systematically disclosing production costs and component origins to the public. He continues to oversee the brand’s technical evolution, including a partnership with the French Astronomy Association and the ambitious development of the MUN-001 modular caliber based on the La Joux-Perret L100. Jungbluth’s work represents a shift in the horological industry toward democratized design and consumer-centric innovation.
