Victor Schouder is a French entrepreneur and the co-founder of MU:N, an independent watch brand established in 2021. His entry into the world of horology was sparked by two significant events: receiving a damaged but functional Omega Speedmaster from his father and later discovering a Soviet Luch Moonphase in his grandfather’s attic. These experiences led Schouder to resign from his professional career to pursue a vision of democratizing the moon phase complication.
Alongside his cousin, Thibault Jungbluth, and childhood friends Jean-Samuel and Nicolas, Schouder launched MU:N with a focus on community-driven design. Under his leadership, the brand developed an online watch configurator that allowed enthusiasts to influence the creation process. This collaborative approach resulted in the participation of over 5,000 individuals in the design of the brand’s first models.
In 2022, Schouder successfully led a Kickstarter campaign to bring MU:N’s inaugural collection to life. The brand is characterized by its emphasis on the moon phase complication, featuring the flagship “Creator” series and the permanent “Origine 51” collection. Schouder has been instrumental in integrating high-quality Swiss components, such as Sellita and Ronda movements, while maintaining a focus on artistic and poetic design elements, including motifs inspired by 17th-century tarot cards.
Today, Victor Schouder continues to serve as a primary figure for MU:N, representing the brand in various horological forums and media outlets.
