About this watch

The Venezianico Redentore Utopia is a hand-wound dress watch and the first model to use the brand’s Italian-made calibre V5000. The 316L stainless steel case measures 38 mm in diameter, 8.9 mm thick and 44.2 mm lug to lug, with a polished bezel, a sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating and a sapphire caseback. The blue-green dial is guilloché, engraved by hand by Riccardo Renzetti on a rose engine from 1850 and then ion-plated, with polished applied baton indexes, faceted alpha hands and an applied logo. The V5000 is made in Italy by OISA and was designed with watchmakers Fausto Berizzi and Andrea Menegazzo. It has 19 jewels, runs at 25,200 vph (3.5 Hz), has a 60-hour power reserve and is rated to ±3 seconds a day. It shows hours, minutes and seconds.

The movement uses a split gear train and a free-sprung copper-beryllium balance supplied by Atokalpa, with four adjustable weights for regulation, plus a KIF Elastor shock system. Its finishing includes radial Côtes de Genève, perlage on the mainplate and polished bevels on the bridges, visible through the caseback. The watch was announced in May 2025 as a numbered edition of 100 pieces on a blue-green embossed leather strap made by Gian Pietro Failli in Tuscany, with a steel pin buckle. The price was EUR 4,500, the highest of any Venezianico model at the time. No official reference number was published.

Press reaction focused on the movement as a step forward for the Venetian brand. Fratello called it a huge step forward and judged the price appropriate, while Oracle of Time called the movement spectacular and the watch solid value against mid-range luxury brands. Worn & Wound found the design serious rather than showy and named the V5000 the main attraction. Fratello’s readers were more critical, questioning where the case is made, whether the price is justified for a watch with parts sourced outside Italy, and the blue-green colour. Worn & Wound reported that all 100 pieces sold out shortly after launch, so the first Redentore Utopia is a sold-out limited edition as of October 2026.
