The Venezianico Nereide Ultraleggero 42 (3921508) is the skeletonised member of Venezianico’s Nereide dive watch family. Its 316L stainless steel case measures 42 mm in diameter, with a 49 mm lug-to-lug length and a total thickness of 13.4 mm. The grey skeletonised dial is built in three superimposed layers, combining transparent PMMA, skeletonised surfaces and radial satin finishing; the first layer replaces the spacer ring to reduce the thickness of the case, a solution Venezianico has patented (patent no. 102021000031718). It sits under a sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating. The watch is powered by the Seiko NH70A, a skeletonised automatic movement with three hands, and water resistance is rated at 200 meters (20 ATM).

The steel bezel turns with 120 clicks, the crown screws down and the hands and markers are filled with Swiss-made BGW9 Super-LumiNova. The caseback alternates screws and grooves and combines radial satin, micro-sandblasted and polished finishes. The watch comes on a grey rubber strap made in Italy, shaped to follow the case and rated for temperatures from -30°C to +70°C; a version on a steel bracelet is sold as reference 3921508C. Venezianico lists the 3921508 at EUR 650.

Editorial coverage of the Ultraleggero is limited so far. Its appeal lies in pairing an open, skeletonised dial with real dive-watch specifications, including 200 m water resistance, sapphire and BGW9 lume, at a price well below most skeleton watches. The compromises are a 49 mm lug-to-lug that makes it wear larger than the 42 mm diameter suggests, and a basic Seiko NH70A movement. The Nereide Ultraleggero 42 3921508 is in production and was available on Venezianico’s official online store at the time of writing.
