About this watch

The Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch Professional with white dial is a regular-production version of the Moonwatch, introduced in March 2024. Its stainless steel case measures 42 mm in diameter, 13.18 mm thick and 47.5 mm lug to lug, with 20 mm between the lugs and twisted lyre lugs. Water resistance is 50 m. The black anodised aluminium bezel carries a tachymeter scale with the dot over 90. The dial is white lacquer, the first lacquered dial on a Speedmaster Professional, with black applied indexes, black diamond-polished hands, azurage-stamped sub-dials and a red Speedmaster script and chronograph seconds tip. Sapphire crystals are fitted front and back. Inside is the hand-wound Omega Co-Axial Master Chronometer calibre 3861, with a co-axial escapement, silicon hairspring, 3 Hz frequency and 50-hour power reserve. METAS certification limits deviation to 0 to +5 seconds a day.

Omega linked the colour scheme to the white spacesuits worn by Apollo astronauts and to the Alaska Project prototypes, while the red script recalls the red stripes that identified mission commanders. Three references were released: 310.30.42.50.04.001 on the five-link steel bracelet, 310.32.42.50.04.002 on black rubber and 310.32.42.50.04.001 on perforated black leather. Unlike the black Moonwatch, the white dial is offered only in the sapphire configuration, with no Hesalite version. Launch prices were USD 8,100 on the bracelet and USD 7,800 on a strap, USD 100 more than the black dial. By July 2026 Time+Tide listed USD 9,100 on the bracelet and USD 8,700 on a strap.

Reception has been strongly positive. Gear Patrol described the response as overwhelmingly positive, and demand was high enough that availability was limited at first. WatchesBySJX praised the glassy, slightly milky lacquer, the clean sub-dial printing and the 3861 movement, and judged the watch worth buying even for owners of the black version. Its criticisms were the small lume plots on the indexes, which glow less than on the black dial, and the long indexes that give the chapter ring a slightly pie-pan look. Worn & Wound also noted the reduced lume, while aBlogtoWatch and Time+Tide pointed out the absence of a Hesalite option for purists. As of October 2026 the white dial Moonwatch Professional remains in production as a permanent part of the Speedmaster collection.
