The Bohen StarDiver is the Marseille brand’s extreme professional dive watch, water resistant to 100 ATM (1,000 meters) and made in a limited run of 300 pieces. Its SS316L steel case, built to aerospace standard, measures 41 mm across the unidirectional 60-click ceramic bezel and 48 mm in length, and is 13.8 mm thick without the sapphire crystal (14.8 mm with it). The case back is screwed grade 5 titanium, and an automatic helium escape valve sits at the 50-minute position. Both the movement and its cage are antimagnetic. The black dial and hands use Bohen’s densified Super-LumiNova X1, which the brand rates 50% brighter and twice as long-lasting, and the finishing combines black polishing with deep brushing.

The StarDiver shows hours, minutes, seconds and a date window that displays three dates at once, with an oversized minute hand for legibility. The crown sits at 42 minutes, on the left side of the case. Inside is a Swiss automatic manufactured by Soprod in the Jura: 28,800 vph, 25 jewels, Incabloc, a Glucydur balance, a 42-hour power reserve and regulation to ±4 seconds per day in five positions, with rhodium plating, perlage and Côtes de Genève. The steel bracelet is 24 mm wide at the case and tapers to 16 mm; Bohen calls it the world’s first dive-watch bracelet that is fully adjustable and micro-adjustable without tools, using quick-release mechanisms on every straight link and a double-control buckle. Bohen lists the StarDiver from €3,290 including taxes, or €3,590 in a Collector set with two extra silicone straps.

aBlogtoWatch’s review called the StarDiver’s fit and finish “truly superb” at its price and noted that, despite the extreme 1,000 m rating, it is a couple of millimeters slimmer than the Mille Mer, which makes a noticeable difference in weight and comfort. The same review warned that its radical, angular design is unique and will not be for everyone. The StarDiver is currently in production and shown as in stock on Bohen’s official store.
