Whitney Weiss

Whitney Weiss is a central figure in the modern revival of American watchmaking, serving as a co-founder and executive of the Nashville-based Weiss Watch Company. Her career is defined by her partnership with her husband, master watchmaker Cameron Weiss, and her role in establishing the brand as a significant independent manufacture in the United States.

Weiss graduated from the University of Southern California, where she met Cameron while he was beginning his formal horological training. In 2013, the couple co-founded Weiss Watch Company in Los Angeles, initially operating the business from their apartment dining room. From the company’s inception, Weiss has been responsible for the brand’s commercial and creative strategy, overseeing marketing, branding, sales, social media, and customer support. Her efforts were instrumental in securing early retail partnerships with prestigious global outlets such as Barneys New York and Mr. Porter.

In 2020, Weiss played a key role in the strategic relocation of the company and their family to Nashville, Tennessee. This move facilitated the expansion of their manufacturing capabilities, including the opening of a dedicated atelier and boutique in the Wedgewood-Houston district. Within the organization, she is credited with managing the logistical and commercial execution of their watch releases, ensuring that the brand maintains its commitment to domestic manufacturing and hand-assembled mechanical timepieces.

Beyond her corporate responsibilities, Weiss is recognized for her involvement in the Nashville creative community and her focus on brand collaborations with other American heritage companies. Her leadership style emphasizes transparency and the preservation of traditional craftsmanship within a family-owned business model. Today, she continues to direct the brand’s growth, balancing its heritage-focused identity with modern marketing initiatives to expand its presence in the global horological market.
