About this watch

The Ming 37.11 Odyssey is the brand’s first GMT dive watch, built on the case of the 37.09 Bluefin. The fully brushed grade 2 titanium case measures 38 mm in diameter, 12.6 mm thick and 44.5 mm lug to lug, with 20 mm between the lugs, and the head weighs about 42 g. Water resistance is 300 m. Domed sapphire crystals with anti-reflective coating cover the front and back. The dial is a semi-opaque smoked sapphire disc carrying a 24-hour scale, coloured orange for night and blue for day, with Ming Polar White lume on the hour indexes and a gradient lume on the hour hand. The automatic movement is a customised Sellita SW330.M2 with anthracite plates and open-worked bridges, running at 4 Hz with a 50-hour power reserve. It shows hours, minutes, hacking seconds and a second time zone, with no date.

The GMT works in an unusual way. A separate 24-hour hand, tipped with a luminous space shuttle, is set independently, and the smoked sapphire dial can be turned in either direction by the crown at 2 o’clock in 24 clicks for 24 time zones. That crown can be operated underwater. The 37.11 was released in November 2025 as a regular production model. Prices excluding tax were CHF 4,950 on an anthracite FKM rubber strap, CHF 5,500 on the titanium Universal bracelet and CHF 5,950 on the 3D-printed titanium Polymesh strap. Gear Patrol gave a US starting price of USD 6,150 on rubber.

Reviews were mostly positive about the design and comfort. WatchesBySJX praised the layered dial’s depth, the light case and the brighter than expected lume, and said the design work sets Ming apart, but found the price high for a Sellita-powered GMT and noted that grade 2 titanium scratches easily and that the date was dropped. Monochrome called it a competent sports watch for travellers, while noting the smoked dial can be harder to read at some angles and that water resistance is half the Bluefin’s 600 m. Gear Patrol singled out comfort and the rotating dial, but said the orange lume fades quickly. A Monochrome reader argued that Ming’s prices have risen too far. As of October 2026 the 37.11 Odyssey is a regular, non-limited model in the Ming catalogue.
