About this watch

The IWC Pilot’s Watch Automatic 41 Top Gun Mojave Desert, reference IW328106, is a three-hand pilot’s watch with a sand-coloured ceramic case. The case measures 41 mm in diameter and 11.4 mm thick and is made of zirconium oxide mixed with other metallic oxides to reach the beige-khaki Mojave Desert tone. The screw-in crown and the caseback are titanium, the caseback engraved with the Top Gun logo, and water resistance is 100 metres. A convex sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating on both sides covers a brown dial with Arabic numerals, a minute track, a date window at 3 o’clock and Super-LumiNova on the numerals and hands. Inside is IWC’s in-house calibre 32112, an automatic movement with Pellaton-style pawl winding, 28,800 vph (4 Hz), silicon escapement parts, a 120-hour power reserve and a soft-iron inner cage for magnetic protection.

IWC first used the Mojave Desert ceramic in 2019 on the Pilot’s Watch Chronograph IW389103 in its Colours of Top Gun series, and later on a smaller chronograph. Achieving the colour is difficult because it shifts during sintering. The 41 mm automatic version was released in June 2025 on a beige rubber strap with textile inlay and a titanium pin buckle, at EUR 9,200 or USD 8,500. Its companion is the Pilot’s Watch Automatic 41 Top Gun Lake Tahoe, IW328104, which uses white ceramic, a black dial and a white rubber strap with the same calibre 32112; retailers list it at USD 8,500 to 9,200 and CHF 7,800.

Coverage has focused on wearability. When IWC shrank the Mojave Desert chronograph in 2023, SJX praised the more wearable size and noted the colour had previously appeared only on larger models; the 41 mm three-hander takes that a step further. HiConsumption presented the IW328106 as a potential everyday IWC pilot’s watch and singled out the 120-hour power reserve and magnetic protection of the 32112. Press coverage has been light compared with IWC’s larger launches, and pre-owned examples have been listed below retail, around USD 6,950. Neither model is a limited edition, and both the Mojave Desert and Lake Tahoe versions are in production as of October 2026.
