The Breguet Classique Souscription 2025, reference 2025BH/28/9W6, is a single-hand wristwatch that reinterprets the souscription pocket watch Abraham-Louis Breguet sold by subscription in the 1790s. The round case measures 40 mm in diameter and 10.8 mm in height, with a lug width of 21 mm. It is made of 18k Breguet gold, a proprietary alloy of gold, silver, copper and palladium, and is water resistant to 3 bar (30 m). A sapphire caseback shows the movement. The domed white dial is grand feu enamel, carries Breguet numerals, a discreet secret signature and one heat-blued steel hand that is curved to follow the dome. Inside is the new calibre VS00, a manual-wind movement derived from the La Tradition calibres 505 and 507. It has 144 components, runs at 3 Hz (21,600 vph), uses a Nivachron balance spring with an overcoil and stores 96 hours of power reserve in a single barrel. The only function is the display of the time with one hand.
The watch opened Breguet’s 250th anniversary programme in April 2025. Its case is a new design rather than the fluted Classique case, with hand guilloché on the caseback and a pantograph-engraved secret signature. It is delivered on a dark blue alligator strap with an 18k Breguet gold pin buckle. It is not a limited edition. At launch the price was USD 48,700 or CHF 45,000, and the watch was sold first through Breguet boutiques and then through retailers.
Press reaction was largely positive. Watches By SJX described it as a strong start to the anniversary year, though a little pricey, and noted that traditionalists may miss the fluted caseband and soldered lugs of the classic case. In a later hands-on, SJX called it arguably the best watch the brand had launched in years. Watch Advice praised the enamel dial and the finishing of the movement, and Watchonista highlighted the legibility of the single hand. Collectors on WatchProSite compared it with other enamel-dial dress watches, focusing on wearability. The Souscription won the Aiguille d’Or, the top prize at the 2025 GPHG. As of October 2026 the Classique Souscription 2025 is part of the regular Breguet collection and in production.
