The Breguet Classique Phase de Lune 7235, reference 7235BH/0H/9V6, is a limited-edition dress watch with moon phase and power reserve made for Breguet’s 250th anniversary. The round case measures 39 mm in diameter and 9.9 mm in height, with a 20 mm lug width, and is made of 18k Breguet gold, the brand’s proprietary gold alloy. The case band is engine-turned, and the watch is water resistant to 3 bar (30 m), with sapphire crystals on the front and back. The Breguet gold dial’s centre is hand-guilloché in the wavy Quai de l’Horloge pattern, the hour ring is brushed and the outer ring engine-turned, with deep blue Roman numerals and blued Breguet hollow apple hands. The movement is the automatic calibre 502.3.DRL, with 250 components, a silicon balance spring and hand-engraved bridges. It runs at 3 Hz (21,600 vph) and has a 45-hour power reserve. Functions are hours, minutes, small seconds, power reserve indicator and moon phase.
Breguet presented the 7235 in October 2025, alongside the Classique 7225, as part of its 250th anniversary programme. The design draws on the historic Breguet No. 5 pocket watch, whose moon face is reproduced on the moon disc at two o’clock. The power reserve sits at ten o’clock and the guilloché small seconds between five and six o’clock, a layout that SJX describes as instantly familiar. The watch comes on an alligator strap with an 18k Breguet gold pin buckle. It is limited to 250 numbered pieces, sold through boutiques and retailers, priced at CHF 65,000, EUR 77,300 and USD 85,800.
Reviewers liked the decoration but were more reserved about the movement. Watches By SJX said the new design works well while remaining clearly a Breguet and noted the warm look of Breguet gold on both case and dial, but pointed out that the movement’s base dates to the late 1960s and that, despite a silicon escapement and better finishing, it lags behind newer calibres from Patek Philippe and Audemars Piguet, with a short power reserve. aBlogtoWatch praised the four styles of guilloché on the dial and case, the balanced asymmetry, comfort and legibility. As of October 2026 the 7235 is a limited edition of 250 pieces and is still listed on Breguet’s website.
