The Baltic × SpaceOne Seconde Majeure is an automatic jumping-hour watch made jointly by Baltic and SpaceOne. The 904L stainless steel case measures 38.5 mm in diameter, 12.3 mm thick and 47.5 mm lug to lug, with 20 mm between the lugs, a concave polished bezel, a crown at 12 o’clock, a screwed solid caseback and water resistance of 50 m. A single-domed sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating covers a German silver (maillechort) plate, offered brushed or with a hand-applied charbonné finish. Hours jump in a window at 12 o’clock, minutes are read on a transparent sapphire disc at 6 o’clock, and a long central seconds hand sweeps the dial. The movement is a Soprod P024 automatic running at 4 Hz with a 42-hour power reserve, fitted with a jumping-hour module developed by watchmaker Théo Auffret in Paris.
The sapphire hour and minute discs use SpaceOne’s space-age typeface, while the visible wheels of the module form part of the dial design. The watch comes on a beige Alcantara strap made by Delugs with curved spring bars and a steel pin buckle. Instead of a fixed edition size, the watch was sold only through pre-orders between 12 and 17 May 2026, so production matches the number of orders. Prices before tax were EUR 2,500 for the brushed version and EUR 3,500 for the charbonné version, a clear step up for Baltic. Deliveries are scheduled for November 2026.
WatchesBySJX called it an affordable, architectural jump hour, praising the hand finishing for the price, the typeface and the bezel that makes the case look thinner, but said the 40 percent premium for the charbonné dial may be too much for some buyers. Monochrome said the watch punches well above its weight and offers independent-style features at a fraction of the usual price. Monochrome readers liked its looks but criticised the gap between case and strap, the 12 o’clock crown and readability for some eyes. Baltic replied that the lug holes would be moved closer to the case for production. As of October 2026 the order window has closed and the watches have not yet been delivered.
