Naoki Tsukumo is a Singapore-based entrepreneur and watch designer known for founding Gruppo Gamma, an independent watch brand established in 2013. Driven by a passion for horology and a desire to create timepieces for collectors and aficionados, Tsukumo launched the brand with a focus on robust, instrument-style watches. His work is characterized by a “neo-vintage” aesthetic, drawing significant inspiration from the historic military tool watches issued to Italian Navy frogmen during the mid-20th century.
Under Tsukumo’s leadership, Gruppo Gamma began its journey with the release of the Genesis model, which paid homage to vintage naval designs while incorporating modern materials. He oversaw the brand’s evolution from using entry-level movements and mineral crystals to high-specification components, including Japanese automatic movements and sapphire crystals.
