Dennison Watch Co. is a British watchmaker with a history originating in 1874 when Aaron Lufkin Dennison, a pioneer of American watchmaking and founder of Waltham, established a prominent watch case manufacturing business in Birmingham. For nearly a century, the company was renowned as a premier case maker for prestigious Swiss brands such as Rolex, Omega, and Jaeger-LeCoultre before going dormant in 1967.
The brand was revived in 2024 by vintage watch dealer Toby Sutton, entrepreneur Stéphane Cheikh, and designer Emmanuel Gueit. Operating from Geneva, the team has transitioned the company from a case manufacturer to a complete watch brand while maintaining its historic British and American ties.
The brand’s modern identity is defined by the A.L.D. Collection, named after the founder. These timepieces are characterized by 37mm cushion-shaped “TV cases” inspired by 1960s and 70s aesthetics. A key feature that draws enthusiasts to the brand is the use of natural stone dials, including Tiger’s Eye, Lapis Lazuli, Malachite, and Aventurine, which ensure that each watch has a unique visual pattern.
Key pieces include the time-only models and the Dual Time models, the latter of which features two independent Swiss Ronda quartz movements to allow for distinct time zone tracking through its horizontal case design. In 2024, the brand received significant industry recognition by winning the Challenge Watch Prize at the Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève.
