The Urwerk UR-103, from 2003, shows the time with wandering-hours satellites. Three satellites, each carrying four hour numerals, rotate on a carousel, and the active hour is indicated against a minute scale along an arc at the bottom of the dial. The watch is automatic and the case is a stepped, modular form in steel or gold; I could not confirm full dimensions and movement data from a single source.
The idea comes from the 17th-century “Campani” wandering hours, and Urwerk’s founders, Felix Baumgartner and Martin Frei, reworked it into a contemporary design. The UR-103 became the foundation of the brand’s later watches.
Collectors see the UR-103 as one of the key avant-garde watches of the 2000s. The UR-103 line has been produced in many versions and variants.
