The Traska Summiteer 38 (Ref. 2196) is the larger of the brand’s two Summiteer field watches, offered in Charcoal Black, Oxblood Red, Honeycomb Yellow and Pine Green. The 316L stainless steel case is 38.5 mm in diameter, 10.5 mm thick including the box-style double-domed sapphire crystal (8.75 mm case height), 46 mm lug-to-lug with 20 mm lugs, and water resistant to 100 m. The recessed semi-matte dial has hand-applied indices, the crown is a signed screw-down and the case and bracelet carry Traska’s scratch-resistant coating. Power is the Japanese Miyota 9039 automatic, and the tapering 316L bracelet has a micro-adjustable clasp with six settings. Traska lists it at $750.

The Summiteer has been updated several times since its 2019 introduction and is well regarded by The Slender Wrist, Watchclicker and The Calibrated Wrist for its brushed case with polished chamfers, applied indices and bracelet, and its legible dial; one reviewer noticed a slightly crooked index on their own unit.

The Summiteer 38 is in Traska’s current line-up, sold in batches; at the time of checking all colors were sold out or marked coming soon.
