About this watch

The Studio Underd0g x Time+Tide Hand Delivered, known to collectors as the Pizza Party watch, is a hand-wound bicompax chronograph offered in two dial versions, Pepper0ni (ref. 01PIT) and Hawaiian (ref. 01HPBE). The stainless steel case measures 38.5 mm in diameter, 13.6 mm thick and 44.5 mm from lug to lug, with 20 mm lugs, brushed and polished surfaces, a sapphire crystal and 50 m water resistance. The multi-layered dial uses orange and tan gradients to suggest sauce, cheese and crust, with score marks dividing it into slices. The Pepper0ni carries pepperoni, mushroom, black olive and basil motifs, while the Hawaiian shows ham and pineapple. The movement is the Seagull ST-1901, a manually wound column-wheel chronograph derived from the Venus 175, with a 50-hour power reserve, visible through the caseback.

The watch began as an April Fools’ joke published by Time+Tide in April 2023. Reader interest was strong enough that Studio Underd0g and Time+Tide made it real, launching it on 19 January 2024 at a pizza party in Time+Tide’s Melbourne studio. Instead of the brand’s usual online drops, it was sold only in person at Time+Tide events or hand-delivered by Studio Underd0g founder Richard Benc or Time+Tide’s Andrew McUtchen, which gave the watch its official name. Each version comes on an Epsom calfskin strap from The Strap Tailor, dark tan for the Pepper0ni and lighter tan for the Hawaiian, with quick-release bars and a steel pin buckle. The price was USD 650 (AUD 1,150) for either version.

Worn & Wound welcomed the return of playful releases, found the pizza theme well executed and liked the in-person sales model. Time+Tide’s own review praised the gradient dial, comfortable size and open view of the column-wheel movement, while noting that the toppings would polarise buyers, the finishing is not high-end and the water resistance is not suited to swimming. The pizza parties travelled to cities including Leeds and London, and a one-off Pizza Unique sold at a charity auction in November 2024 for a record price for a Studio Underd0g watch. Sales of the Pepper0ni and Hawaiian ended with the final Pizza Party in London in November 2024. A separate Pizza Party 2.0 with Burnt Pepper0ni and Classic Cheese dials followed in 2026, so the original two versions are discontinued as of October 2026.
