About this watch

The Piaget Andy Warhol Watch ‘Collage’ Limited Edition, reference G0A50243, is a time-only watch with a hard-stone marquetry dial. Its lugless, cushion-shaped case in 18k yellow gold has a stepped profile and measures 45 mm across, 43 mm lug to lug and 8.08 mm in height. It is water resistant to 30 m and fitted with a sapphire crystal. The closed caseback is laser-engraved with a Polaroid-style portrait of Andy Warhol and his signature. The dial is a hand-cut marquetry of yellow Namibian serpentine, pink opal and green chrysoprase on a black onyx base, arranged like overlapping cut-outs so that no two dials are identical. Gold hands show hours and minutes only. The movement is Piaget’s in-house automatic calibre 501P1 with a 40-hour power reserve.

Piaget renamed its Black Tie line the Andy Warhol Watch in 2024 after partnering with the Andy Warhol Foundation. Warhol owned around 300 watches and was fond of Piaget. The black onyx base recalls the colour of Warhol’s own 1973 Piaget, although the original had a date window that the Collage omits. According to Fratello, the dial composition was inspired by one of Warhol’s 1986 Polaroid collage self-portraits. The watch is worn on a green alligator strap with a yellow gold pin buckle. Piaget presented it in October 2025 as a limited edition of 50 pieces, at CHF 67,000, about USD 85,000 or EUR 78,000.

Coverage focused on the dial. Watches By SJX called the marquetry creative and the yellow gold case a worthwhile upgrade over the standard models, but named the movement arguably the only weak point, technically and aesthetically unimpressive and far too small for the case, and said a manual-wind calibre would have suited it better. Time+Tide found the layered stones an effective nod to Warhol and welcomed the absence of a date, while noting that the 45 mm case runs against the trend for smaller watches and that the 30 m water resistance makes it hardly an everyday watch. Fratello’s Lex Stolk named it his top pick of 2025, writing that it avoids feeling like it is trying too hard to be funky. As a limited edition of 50 pieces, it is not part of the permanent collection; its sell-through status had not been reported as of October 2026.
