The Peacock King Returns Double Tourbillon is Peacock’s flagship double-tourbillon watch. The carbon fibre version measures 45 mm wide and 11.5 mm thick, with a sapphire crystal, a transparent caseback and an alligator leather strap on a pin buckle. The SL5301K is a hand-wound movement with 37 jewels, a 21,600 vph beat rate and 42 hours of power reserve. It carries two completely independent tourbillon regulating systems at 5 and 7 o’clock on the dial, and Peacock says it is one of only two companies able to make this type of movement. Peacock’s catalogue lists black and silver versions at USD 45,800. A 43 mm, 12.5 mm thick 316L steel version with 18k rose gold coating and a brown alligator strap (reference P531-1, SL5301KM) was shown at the Hong Kong Watch & Clock Fair, and the water resistance figure differs between listings, from 3 ATM to 30 ATM.
I found no independent hands-on review, so there is no documented community verdict on the watch itself. Its position is clear from its price, which is many times that of Peacock’s single-tourbillon range and places it as the brand’s showpiece for in-house complexity. The King Returns is a current catalogue model, offered in several colour variations, with no published edition limit.
