About this watch

The Patek Philippe Aquanaut Travel Time ref. 5164G-001 is a dual-time watch in an 18k white gold case measuring 40.8 mm from 10 to 4 o’clock and 10.2 mm thick. The case has a brushed finish, a screw-down crown, a sapphire crystal caseback and water resistance of 30 m. The opaline blue-grey dial carries the embossed Aquanaut pattern, with applied white gold Arabic numerals coated in white luminescent material. Inside is the self-winding calibre 26-330 S C FUS, 31 mm wide and 4.82 mm thick, with 290 parts and 29 jewels. It runs at 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz) and holds 35 to 45 hours of power reserve. Functions are hours, minutes, sweep seconds, a second time zone with day/night indicators for both local and home time, and a date linked to local time.

Patek Philippe introduced the 5164G in April 2024 as the first white gold version of the Aquanaut Travel Time, replacing the steel 5164A in the catalogue. The skeletonised home-time hand can sit hidden beneath the local hour hand when the second zone is not in use. Two pushers on the left flank move the local hour hand forward or back in one-hour steps, and the date follows the local hour across midnight. The watch comes on a blue-grey composite strap with the Aquanaut pattern and a white gold fold-over clasp. Launch pricing was reported at around EUR 62,600 to 63,560 and GBP 54,000. Patek Philippe’s own site currently lists it at EUR 67,000.

Press coverage treated the 5164G as a material and colour update rather than a new model. Oracle of Time liked the bright white gold and the understated blue-grey dial, but disliked the globe motif and said Patek could have pushed its designs further. Wristcheck noted that launch reviews called out the drop to 30 m water resistance from the 120 m of the steel 5164A. Demand has stayed high: Wristcheck reported asking prices of roughly USD 172,000 to 185,000 in 2026, more than double the retail price. As of October 2026 the 5164G-001 is in production and listed in Patek Philippe’s current catalogue.
