The Patek Philippe reference 5236P-010 is the rose-dial version of the brand’s In-Line Perpetual Calendar. The fully hand-polished 950 platinum case measures 41.3 mm in diameter and 11.07 mm thick, is set with a single brilliant-cut diamond at 6 o’clock as on other Patek platinum models, and is water resistant to 30 metres. Sapphire crystals cover the dial and the caseback, and a solid platinum caseback is supplied as an alternative. The rose-gilt opaline dial has charcoal grey faceted baton hour markers and hands in white gold. Day, date and month appear in a single line of apertures below 12 o’clock, with leap year and day/night indications in small round windows, and small seconds and moon phase at 6 o’clock. The self-winding calibre 31-260 PS QL is 34 mm wide and 5.8 mm thick, has 503 parts and 55 jewels, a platinum mini-rotor, Gyromax balance and Spiromax spring, runs at 4 Hz and holds 38 to 48 hours of power.
The in-line layout first appeared in 2021 on the blue-dial 5236P and draws on Patek’s 1972 pocket watch P-1450. It relies on a module with four rotating discs and three patented solutions, including a coplanar double ball bearing and an anti-double-jump system, which together added 118 parts. The 5236P-010 was introduced at Watches and Wonders in April 2024 with the new vintage-style dial as the main change. It is fitted on a shiny chocolate brown alligator strap with a platinum fold-over clasp. The US retail price at launch was USD 141,405, the same as the blue model.
aBlogtoWatch described the 5236P-010 as essentially a new dial variation that gives the in-line perpetual calendar a distinctly different, warmer character than the blue original. Its earlier coverage of the 5236P found the single-line display elegant but questioned its real-world legibility, noting that the small apertures may challenge long-sighted wearers and that a classic layout such as the 3940 is easier to read. Patek Philippe’s website lists the 5236P-010 as discontinued as of October 2026, so new examples are now found mainly through dealers and the secondary market.
