The Laurent Ferrier Classic Moon Silver, reference LCF039.R5.G3N, is an annual calendar with moon phase in 18k 5N red gold. The case uses the brand’s rounded Classic shape and measures 40 mm in diameter and 12.9 mm thick, with water resistance to 30 m and a ball-shaped red gold crown. Hodinkee reports a domed sapphire crystal without anti-reflective coating and a sapphire case back. The vertically satin-finished silver dial carries anthracite Roman numerals and baton indices, petrol-blue date numerals with the 31 in cherry red, and ruthenium-treated white gold Assegai hands. Inside is the manually wound calibre LF126.02, which is 31.6 mm wide and 6.3 mm thick, with 266 components and 25 jewels. It runs at 3 Hz (21,600 vph) and has an 80-hour power reserve. It shows small seconds, a central date hand, day and month apertures and the moon phase.

The Classic Moon was presented at Watches and Wonders 2024 and is Laurent Ferrier’s first moon-phase watch. The LF126.02 is an updated version of the LF126.01 annual calendar movement, with 30 new and 20 revised parts. As an annual calendar, it needs a manual correction once a year at the end of February. The moon-phase sub-dial at 6 o’clock shows both hemispheres. According to Hodinkee, it is made of Murano aventurine glass, engraved and filled with Super-LumiNova, and covered with a translucent petrol-blue enamel disc. The watch comes on a hand-sewn brown calf strap with a red gold pin buckle. A stainless steel sister model, LCF039.AC.C1WC, has a grey-blue opaline dial. Launch prices were CHF 70,000 in steel and CHF 80,000 in red gold. Laurent Ferrier now lists the Silver at CHF 88,000.

The Classic Moon won the Calendar and Astronomy Watch Prize at the 2024 Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève. Hodinkee’s Mark Kauzlarich called it one of the more subtly charming watches of Watches and Wonders 2024 and said it wore smaller than its size. He compared its layout favourably with Patek Philippe’s ref. 5396. His reservations were the soft, almost worn-looking lines of the Classic case, the Roman numerals and the price, which he described as an expensive proposition next to the Patek annual calendar. As of October 2026 the Classic Moon Silver is still listed in Laurent Ferrier’s collection and is in production as a regular, non-limited model.
