About this watch

The Junghans max bill Automatic Edition 60 marks more than 60 years since the first max bill watches were unveiled. Its stainless steel case with an anthracite polished PVD coating measures 38.0 mm in diameter and 10.0 mm in height, with a four-screw case back carrying the edition logo engraving. The glass is an anti-reflective sapphire crystal. The matt white dial integrates a discreet “60” in the minute track, in green luminous substance, and the anthracite hands carry orange luminous substance. Water resistance is 3 bar, and the strap is light grey leather with black edges and orange lining leather.

The movement is the self-winding Junghans J800.1 with up to 38 hours of power reserve and a date display. Junghans lists the watch at €1,645 including VAT. It is one of three limited Edition 60 models, which the brand says are meant to be revered as collector’s items, and each is also available as part of a set.

The Edition 60 stands out in the max bill family for its anthracite case and orange accents. Retailers describe the J800.1 as an ETA 2824-based caliber. As a limited edition it is still listed on Junghans’ official store, with low stock at the time of writing.
