About this watch

The Junghans max bill Automatic Bauhaus 27/4009.02 pairs the minimalist max bill design with red highlights inspired by the red doors of the Bauhaus building in Dessau. Its matt stainless steel case measures 38.0 mm in diameter and 10.0 mm in height, with a case back held by four screws and a partially transparent Bauhaus motif that lets you see the movement. The glass is a domed, anti-reflective sapphire crystal. The matt white dial has luminous dots and hour and minute hands with red inlay, and the date is shown in red. Water resistance is 5 bar, and the strap is black leather with a stainless steel buckle.

The movement is the self-winding Junghans calibre J800.1 with up to 38 hours of power reserve. Junghans lists the watch at €1,545 including VAT. The brand presents it as one of two Bauhaus models in the max bill line.

The Bauhaus editions are among the most recognisable variations of the max bill family, adding color and a display back to an otherwise strictly monochrome range. Retailers describe the J800.1 as an ETA 2824-based caliber. The watch is currently in production and shown as in stock on Junghans’ official store.
