About this watch

The Jaeger-LeCoultre Duometre Heliotourbillon Perpetual reference Q6206150 is a 950 platinum watch combining a multi-axis tourbillon with a perpetual calendar. The 44 mm case is 14.7 mm thick and is styled after the brand’s 19th-century savonette pocket watches, with a convex crystal, a polished bezel, a notched crown, a sapphire window in the case side to show the tourbillon and 30 m of water resistance. The grey dial places the time off-centre with a grande date at 3 o’clock, sub-dials for day, month and year, a moon phase, a day/night indicator and two power reserve displays. The Heliotourbillon sits in a sunken blue section on the left. The hand-wound calibre 388 has 655 parts and 89 jewels, beats at 28,800 vph and is 11.15 mm thick. Each of its two barrels gives 46 hours of reserve.

Calibre 388 uses the Duometre principle introduced in 2007: two barrels and two gear trains share a single regulating organ, one train driving the time and the other the complications. The Heliotourbillon has three titanium cages on ceramic ball bearings. The first two rotate together in 30 seconds on an axis tilted at 40 degrees and the third rotates in 60 seconds. The calendar is set to run until 2100, the year display highlights leap years in red and the moon phase is accurate to 122 years. This platinum version follows the earlier reference Q6202420 and comes on a new 281-component platinum five-link bracelet. It is limited to 20 pieces at USD 580,000, according to aBlogtoWatch.

Coverage centred on the technical display. In a July 2026 hands-on, aBlogtoWatch called it a mix of complicated classicism and visual technical spectacle. It found the off-centre time relatively legible and the large, heavy case wearable thanks to sloped lugs. It noted that the watch is on the thick side, that the all-grey scheme may leave owners wanting more colour, and that the bracelet is less innovative than the Master Control bracelet. It also pointed out that the Heliotourbillon covers well over 90 percent of positions rather than all of them, and that the price is far above the gold version. As of October 2026 the platinum Q6206150 is a limited edition of 20 pieces, offered through Jaeger-LeCoultre by registration of interest.
