About this watch

The 2025 Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar, reference 26674, is the new generation of the brand’s self-winding perpetual calendar in the Royal Oak. The octagonal case measures 41 mm in diameter and 9.5 mm thick, with brushed surfaces, polished bevels and six white gold screws on the bezel. Water resistance rises to 50 metres from 20 metres on the previous model, and there are sapphire crystals front and back, both anti-reflective coated. The Grande Tapisserie dial carries white gold hands and luminescent applied markers, sub-dials for day with 24-hour indicator, date and month with leap year, a week scale on the flange and an astronomical moon based on a NASA photograph. The new in-house calibre 7138, derived from the ultra-thin calibre 7121, measures 29.6 mm by 4.1 mm, has 422 components and 41 jewels, runs at 28,800 vph and stores 55 hours of power.

The main change is that every calendar indication is set through a four-position crown, so the case flanks no longer have recessed correctors and no tool is needed. The movement includes three patented mechanisms and is protected against damage if adjusted during the date-change period between 9 pm and 3 am. Launched in February 2025 for AP’s 150th anniversary, the 26674 comes in stainless steel with a blue dial (26674ST.OO.1320ST.01, CHF 109,300 including tax) and in 18k sand gold with a matching dial (26674SG.OO.1320SG.01, CHF 130,000). Both are on integrated bracelets with a folding clasp. Two anniversary editions of 150 pieces each added a vintage AP signature on the moon disc and a 150 caseback engraving. La Cote des Montres lists the steel model at USD 124,200 before tax as of February 2026.

Press reaction focused on the movement rather than the familiar design. Monochrome called crown-only adjustment a practical and cleaner improvement and welcomed the higher water resistance, while noting that the bracelet still lacks micro-adjustment and a quick-change system. Watch Collecting Lifestyle highlighted the ergonomic gain of removing case correctors. Coverage also pointed out that the visible changes are subtle, and dealer listings for 2025 steel examples have appeared well above retail. The steel and sand gold references are part of the permanent Royal Oak collection and remain in production as of October 2026; the 150-piece anniversary editions are limited.
