About this watch

The Code 11.59 by Audemars Piguet Selfwinding reference 15210ST.OO.A009KB.01 is a 41 mm time-and-date watch in stainless steel with a grey dial. The case is 10.7 mm thick and combines a round bezel, openworked lugs and an octagonal middle case, with brushed and polished finishes. It has a double-curved, glareproofed sapphire crystal, a sapphire case back and 30 m of water resistance. The grey dial is stamped with a ripple pattern of concentric circles, developed with engraver Yann von Kaenel, and is framed by a blue inner bezel with a minute track. The applied hour markers and hands are 18k white gold with luminescent material, and the date window sits at 3 o’clock. Inside is the in-house self-winding calibre 4302, with 257 parts and 32 jewels, beating at 28,800 vph with a 70-hour power reserve and a pink gold oscillating weight.

Audemars Piguet announced the grey steel models in February 2025, together with the matching Selfwinding Chronograph 26393ST with calibre 4401, and they joined the permanent collection from April 2025. Steel first came to the Code 11.59 Selfwinding in 2023 with blue, green and smoked beige stamped dials. The grey version comes on a grey textured rubber-coated strap with calfskin lining and a steel pin buckle. Its launch price in Europe was EUR 26,000. La Cote des Montres lists the US suggested retail price at USD 28,800 under February 2026 tariffs.

Time+Tide’s 2023 hands-on of the steel Selfwinding argued that steel was winning over doubters of the collection. It praised the stamped dials, the slim case and the finishing, while it criticised the 30 m water resistance and a lug-to-lug length of about 50 mm. Monochrome described the 2025 grey dials as refined and the movements as beautifully finished. Reader comments under that article remained split, with one calling the watches terrible and others praising the design. As of October 2026 the grey-dial 15210ST is part of the regular Code 11.59 collection and is in production.
