About this watch

The Atelier Wen Perception Millésime Mù is an integrated-bracelet sports watch in a grade 5 titanium case measuring 40 mm wide, 47 mm long and 9.4 mm thick. It has a double-domed anti-reflective sapphire crystal, a signed screw-down crown and 100 m of water resistance. The purple dial is a four-layer construction with a hand-turned guilloché fish-scale pattern from the workshop of Cheng Yucai, a lumed hui wen chapter ring, applied rhodium-plated indices and leaf-shaped hands with Super-LumiNova. The movement is a customised Dandong SL1588A automatic made by Peacock, with 32 jewels, 28,800 vibrations per hour and 41 hours of power reserve. It is regulated to within plus or minus 10 seconds per day in five positions and displays hours, minutes and seconds.

Mù translates as amity or kinship. The watch opened the Millésime series, an annual release built from a community wish list and the brand’s first limited edition made without a collaborator. It was also the first non-collaboration Perception with a full titanium case and, according to Fratello, the first titanium Perception with the Perception 2.0 updates. The semi-open caseback shows a purple rhodium-plated tungsten rotor and carries a stone lion motif. The titanium bracelet tapers from 22 mm to 18 mm and has a fold-over clasp with 7 mm micro-adjustment, and a rubber strap was included. Pre-orders ran from 7 to 21 October 2024 at USD 3,588, with deliveries scheduled for May 2025. Three buyers were drawn to receive full tantalum prototypes.

Reviews were broadly positive. Worn & Wound found the guilloché showed signs of handwork, said the light case wears smaller than its dimensions, and called it a lot of watch for the money, though the writer questioned the little-known SL1588A movement and preferred the rubber strap to the bracelet. Monochrome praised the bracelet and the way the purple shifts in different light, while calling the colour and motif polarising. Fratello preferred the titanium version to the steel Perception for its lightness and darker case tone. Production was set by the orders received during the two-week window, and as of October 2026 the Mù is a closed limited edition available only on the secondary market.
