The Angelus Chronographe Télémètre is a hand-wound monopusher chronograph from the La Fabrique collection. The 37 mm case is 9.25 mm thick, in 18-carat yellow gold or stainless steel, with brushed surfaces and polished edges that twist along the flanks. It has a domed sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating on both sides, a sapphire caseback and 30 m water resistance. The gold version has a domed white-nickel dial with a grained centre, a satin flange carrying a 20 km telemeter scale, snailed counters for small seconds and 30 minutes, and applied 3N gold markers. The calibre A5000 is a manual-winding column-wheel chronograph with horizontal clutch, 23 jewels, 21,600 vph and a 42-hour power reserve. One pusher in the crown starts, stops and resets the chronograph.
The telemeter measures the distance of an event, such as lightning, by timing the gap between seeing and hearing it. At 37 mm this is the smallest model in the current Angelus range. Monochrome notes that the A5000 is produced by La Joux-Perret from the THA monopusher design, with gold-toned, Geneva-striped bridges and palladium-plated chronograph parts. Launched in 2025, the line has three references: yellow gold with white-nickel dial (0CHCQ.I01A.V010Q, 15 pieces, CHF 32,300 including VAT), steel with rose dial (0CHCS.P01A.V010S, 25 pieces) and steel with grey dial (0CHCS.G01A.V010S, 25 pieces), the steel versions at CHF 17,900. The gold model comes on a steel-blue calfskin strap with a gold pin buckle.
The yellow gold model won the Chronograph Prize at the 2025 Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève. Monochrome praised the textured dials, the 37 mm size and the slim case, but noted that the counters sit close to the centre, a layout set by the movement. Fratello’s Thomas van Straaten liked the proportions and typography, observed that the 44 mm lug-to-lug span adds wrist presence, and named the price and tiny run as his main reservations. Escapement highlighted the vintage proportions and movement finishing. Some Monochrome readers felt the price was high for the brand, others called it fair value. As of October 2026 the Chronographe Télémètre remains a limited edition of 65 pieces in total, 15 of them in yellow gold.
