Swiss Watch Company

Swiss Watch Company (SWC) is an American-based independent watch brand founded in 1996 by Stephen Roemer. Roemer, originally from Switzerland, began his career at age 17 in Biel, where he worked in quality assurance for the Swatch Group. After moving to the United States, he established SWC, which initially focused on producing timepieces for the U.S. Armed Forces and first responders. Today, the company remains a family-owned enterprise based in Alamo, Nevada, with Roemer’s sons, Josh and Jacob, managing various operations including social media, customer service, and website maintenance.

Collectors and enthusiasts often favor the brand for its high-specification tool watches and strong value proposition. Key technical highlights that distinguish the brand include the application of up to 20 layers of Swiss Super-LumiNova for exceptional nighttime visibility and the use of scratch-resistant coatings. Furthermore, SWC provides individual movement regulation for its watches, accompanied by a confirmation card, ensuring high levels of accuracy. The brand is also one of the few outside of Switzerland legally permitted to include “Swiss” in its name due to a historical regulatory window.

The brand’s catalog features several key collections: – SWC Diver: This collection marked the brand’s transition into the consumer microbrand market in 2018. It features 300 meters of water resistance, a ceramic bezel, and a Swiss Sellita SW200 automatic movement.
– Bunker: A titanium field watch noted for its legibility and lightweight construction, often featuring high-Vickers hardness coatings.
– ARK: A collection of field watches that utilize Grade 2 titanium with hardened coatings and multiple layers of anti-reflective sapphire crystal.
– Hyper-G: A titanium pilot-style watch that continues the brand’s emphasis on high-performance materials and superior luminescence.
