Kudoke

Kudoke is an independent German watch company run by watchmaker Stefan Kudoke together with Ev Kudoke. The brand traces its beginnings to 2004, when it started as a joint idea of the two, and today describes itself as an independent family manufacture in Saxony. Stefan Kudoke began his career in Glashütte, including work in the complications department of Glashütte Original, and later worked within the Swatch Group before going independent. The workshop is known for hand engraving and skeletonisation, and since 2018 its watches have used the in-house, hand-wound Kaliber 1.

Kudoke’s work is divided into the HANDwerk line, which includes the Kudoke 1, 2 and 3, the KUNSTwerk line of engraved and skeletonised watches, and one-off commissions. The Kudoke 2, with its day-and-night indication, won the Petite Aiguille Prize at the 2019 GPHG. The Kudoke 3, introduced in 2023, shows the hours on three scales read by a three-armed hour hand, and its salmon-dial version won the Petite Aiguille Prize again in 2024, making Kudoke, by its own account, the only independent German watchmaker to receive the award. Later Kudoke 3 editions have included sky-blue, raspberry and ‘Flakes’ dials.
