The Fam Al Hut Mark 1 Möbius is a hand-wound bi-axial tourbillon from Fam Al Hut, an independent brand founded in 2024 in Chongqing, China, by Xinyan Dai and Lukas Young. The lugless, elongated case is made of stainless steel with concave mirror-polished surfaces and measures 42.2 mm long, 24.3 mm wide and 12.9 mm thick, rising to about 17 mm at the sapphire bubble over the tourbillon. It has sapphire crystals front and back and is water resistant to 30 metres. The fully open-worked in-house calibre M-01T runs at 21,600 vph with a 50-hour power reserve. Its compact two-axis tourbillon, whose cage takes its name from the Möbius strip, rotates on axes of 150 and 60 seconds and sits at the top of the dial. Time is shown by retrograde hour and minute displays combined with a jumping hour.

The watch was presented at Time to Watches in Geneva during Watches and Wonders week in April 2025. A rubber strap runs through the case and closes with a folding clasp, and the brand says each piece takes more than 200 hours of work. Passion Horlogère reported a limited series of 30 pieces at USD 32,000 before tax, with first deliveries planned from August 2025. The GPHG listing gives a price of CHF 26,620 including VAT. An earlier Monochrome hands-on, based on a prototype, quoted USD 42,000.

The Möbius drew wide attention as an example of ambitious Chinese independent watchmaking. A guest hands-on in Monochrome said the common criticisms of Chinese watches do not apply here and praised its balanced design and wearability, while noting in the comments that the prototype’s finishing was still rudimentary. Readers raised the thickness of the tourbillon dome and questioned how the supply chain fits the small production. Passion Horlogère reported that the prototypes were widely praised for their finishing and technical boldness. In November 2025 the watch won the Audacity Prize at the Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève. As of October 2026 the Mark 1 Möbius remains a limited series of 30 pieces, and no sell-out has been officially announced.
