About this watch

The Czapek Time Jumper is a jumping-hour watch with a hinged half-hunter cover, made for the tenth anniversary of the brand’s revival. This version has a 3N 18k yellow gold case that measures 40.5 mm in diameter and 42.4 mm lug to lug. It is 10.5 mm thick, or 12.35 mm including the magnifying crystal on the cover, with 19 mm lugs and water resistance to 3 atm. The cover carries a three-dimensional guilloché pattern made by Metalem around a central loupe that magnifies the hour display. A curved aperture near 6 o’clock shows the minutes, and a pusher at 6 o’clock opens the cover. Box-shaped sapphire crystals with anti-reflective treatment protect the front and back. Inside is the in-house self-winding Calibre 10.01, 30 mm wide and 6.13 mm thick, with 275 parts, 44 jewels, a variable-inertia balance, a 4 Hz (28,800 vph) frequency and a 55-hour power reserve on a single barrel.

The hours are shown in 24-hour format on two overlapping sapphire discs, one for tens and one for single digits. Czapek describes this mechanism as a first and as patent-pending. A peripheral ring shows trailing minutes, and both displays are laser-engraved and filled with Super-LumiNova. The open-worked movement has rhodium-plated bridges against blackened plates and a skeletonised central rotor in recycled 950 platinum. The watch comes on a blue rubber strap with an 18k yellow gold pin buckle. It was unveiled in Geneva in November 2025 in two limited editions: 30 pieces in yellow gold at CHF 64,000 and 100 pieces in steel with a white gold guilloché inlay at CHF 42,000, both before taxes. Czapek says it will make only 180 Calibre 10 movements in total.

Coverage praised the watch as a bold departure from Czapek’s vintage-inspired range. Time+Tide’s Borna Bošnjak found it quirky and interesting throughout. His one complaint was the visible crown at 3 o’clock, which interrupts the flying-saucer profile. aBlogtoWatch’s Ariel Adams admitted he expected a legibility disaster from the press images. On the wrist, he said, reading the hours through the loupe was surprisingly easy and exceeded his expectations, though he described guichet watches in general as looking like oddly positioned robot faces. As of October 2026 Czapek lists the 30-piece yellow gold edition as sold out at its boutique, with remaining pieces possibly at retailers.
