The Cartier Santos de Cartier Medium ref. WSSA0065 is the mid-size steel Santos with a brown sunburst dial. The square case and bezel are stainless steel and the bezel carries the Santos’s visible screws. According to Time+Tide, the Medium case measures 35.1 mm wide, 8.8 mm thick and 41.9 mm lug to lug. It has a sapphire crystal and 100 m water resistance. The brown sunburst dial has Roman numerals and a railway minute track. Inside is the in-house automatic calibre 1847 MC, which shows hours, minutes and seconds and has a power reserve of about 42 hours.

Cartier added brown dials to the Santos de Cartier at Watches and Wonders 2024, together with a two-tone grey-dial version, following the earlier green Santos. The Medium brown is WSSA0065 and the Large brown is WSSA0064. The watch comes with a steel bracelet and a brown alligator strap that matches the dial, and Cartier’s QuickSwitch system lets the owner change them without tools. The bracelet links can also be resized without tools. The retail price is USD 7,050, according to Time+Tide and Loupe.

Time+Tide said the brown dials would likely be as popular as the green Santos. In its guide to brown-dial watches, it wrote that Cartier got the brown dial exactly right and described the amber tones that appear as the light moves across the sunburst. It also praised the versatility of the bracelet and strap set and the tool-free link adjustment. It noted that some owners find the polished bezel attracts scratches. Secondary-market listings collected by Loupe in October 2026 ranged from about USD 8,450 to 9,180, above the retail price. As of October 2026, the Santos de Cartier Medium brown dial is in regular production.
