About this watch

The Bremont Terra Nova Jumping Hour in steel, ref. TN38-JH-SS-CC-B on bracelet, is a 38 mm watch that shows the time through three windows in a closed dial, in the style of a montre à guichet. The cushion-shaped case is 904L stainless steel, vertically brushed with polished bevels. It measures 38 mm in diameter and 9.1 mm thick, with a 44 mm length, a 20 mm lug width and 30 m water resistance. The front is a brushed steel cover with three sapphire-covered apertures. The jumping hour appears at 12 o’clock and the dragging minutes below the centre, on white discs with brown numerals. In the middle, a rotating disc with Bremont’s Wayfinder compass logo and a black hand shows the running seconds. The automatic calibre BC634 is made by Sellita exclusively for Bremont. It has 29 jewels, 28,800 vph (4 Hz), a 56-hour power reserve and an hour jump in under a tenth of a second.

The jumping hour first appeared at Watches and Wonders 2025 as a bronze Terra Nova 38, limited to 100 pieces and priced at GBP 4,550 on strap or GBP 4,900 on bronze bracelet. After it sold out, Bremont released this non-limited steel version on 14 October 2025. It comes on a quick-release Y-link steel bracelet with a butterfly clasp, or on a brown leather strap with a pin buckle. Prices are GBP 4,450 or USD 5,100 on the bracelet, and GBP 4,200 or USD 4,800 on the strap.

Time+Tide’s Tom Austin found the design especially cool and unlike most watches at this price. He said the case proportions work well and that the black seconds hand makes it easier to read than the bronze model’s. He criticised the 30 m water resistance and the lack of micro-adjustment on the bracelet clasp. Monochrome called the jumping hour a surprising move for Bremont and singled out the protective dial cover. Its readers ranged from enthusiastic to calling it too expensive. In 2026, Bremont added a 35 mm closed-dial version and burgundy-dial models to the line. As of October 2026, the 38 mm steel model is a non-limited production model, although Monochrome’s 2026 coverage suggests the 35 mm version may replace it.
