Cristiano Quaglia is an Italian aerospace engineer and entrepreneur who is the co-founder and product developer of the independent watch brand echo/neutra. Based in the Veneto region of Italy, Quaglia established the company in 2018 alongside his long-time friend and business partner, Nicola Callegaro, a designer and branding expert. Their partnership was founded on a shared interest in mechanical watches and a passion for the mountain landscapes and outdoor culture of the Dolomites.

Within the company’s philosophy, the name “echo/neutra” represents a balance between the emotional resonance of an object (“echo”) and a rational, objective approach to design (“neutra”), reflecting Quaglia’s own blend of personal passion and engineering discipline.
Under Quaglia’s technical leadership, echo/neutra has maintained a focus on utilizing Swiss-made mechanical movements (such as Sellita and Soprod) while emphasizing Italian design and assembly.
