Decima

Decima Watch Company is an independent microbrand that has carved out a unique space in the horological community by blending classical design elements with modern mechanical performance. Established in September 2017, the brand is headquartered in the United States, though its origins and identity are deeply rooted in the heritage of its founder, Jurgen Duli. Duli, an engineer and enthusiast of Greco-Roman mythology, originally from Albania, spent a full year developing the brand’s first collection to ensure it met high specifications and quality standards.

The brand’s name is inspired by Decima, one of the three Fates in Roman mythology who measured the thread of life, symbolizing the brand’s philosophy that timepieces represent the stories and milestones of their wearers. Collectors are often drawn to Decima for its ability to offer high-specification tool watches at accessible price points, typically utilizing a direct-to-consumer model that passes value directly to the enthusiast. Owners frequently cite the brand’s hands-on customer service and the robust, architectural feel of the cases as primary reasons for their loyalty.

Decima’s catalog is defined by two primary collections: the Scylla and the Gatekeeper. The Scylla, the brand’s debut model, is a professional-grade dive watch featuring a 44mm CuSn8 marine-grade bronze case and a distinctive dodecagonal bezel. This model is known for its sunburst fumé dials and substantial 500-meter water resistance, often powered by Swiss Sellita movements. More recently, the Gatekeeper Collection has introduced a more versatile aesthetic, featuring an angular case profile and a variety of striking dial colors including salmon, turquoise, and yellow. These pieces emphasize “GADA” (Go Anywhere, Do Anything) utility, pairing automatic movements with custom-designed bracelets and a more wearable silhouette suitable for both daily use and formal occasions.
